Actress Swara Bhaskar will contest Lok Sabha elections and try her luck in politics like her husband.

Swara Bhaskar, a popular Bollywood actress known for her outspokenness on various issues, is now reportedly considering contesting Lok Sabha elections. According to media reports, the Congress might offer her a ticket from the North-Central seat of Mumbai. This seat is currently held by BJP’s Poonam Mahajan. It’s reported that Swara Bhaskar has connections with senior leaders of the Congress party, which might influence their decision to nominate her. Notably, Swara Bhaskar has often been seen opposing the policies of the BJP. She participated in a public meeting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Recently, she also joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat-Jodo Yatra.
